Transcend Wins Gold Winner for Sustainable Design at COMPUTEX 2026, Showcasing Low-Carbon Exhibition Leadership

2026/06/03

Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend®), a global leader in memory and storage solutions, won the Sustainable Design Award - Gold Winner in the Rising Star Group at COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2026. Presented directly by President Lai Ching-te during the grand opening ceremony, the award recognizes Transcend’s leadership in eco-friendly exhibition practices. Aligning with COMPUTEX’s mission of promoting low-carbon, low-pollution, and low-energy consumption, Transcend’s booth excelled through sustainable theme planning, adoption of environmentally friendly materials, and post-exhibition circularity.

60% Space Optimization & 59% Energy Reduction

This year, Transcend's exhibition booth covered 72 square meters, a 60% reduction from the previous year. The streamlined booth design significantly lowered the consumption of exhibition construction materials and helped reduce the event's overall carbon footprint. Departing from traditional large-scale elevated wooden structures, Transcend reduced the booth’s structural height from six meters to four meters and adopted a streamlined, open, and resource-efficient layout. This approach reflects the company’s commitment to extending the lifecycle of exhibition materials, optimizing resource utilization, and reducing environmental impact, in line with its broader sustainability objectives.

Sustainability was embedded throughout the booth design, with the adoption of the reusable OCTANORM modular system replacing conventional single-use wooden structures to maximize the lifecycle and reuse value of exhibition materials. The booth also incorporated biodegradable eco-friendly graphic fabrics, energy-efficient LED lighting, multimedia display solutions, and 100% rented furniture, implementing resource-conscious design across its structure, visual elements, lighting, and spatial arrangements. Although the booth footprint was reduced this year, Transcend maintained the same level of meeting space and business engagement functionality as in previous years, successfully balancing sustainability goals with exhibition requirements. Through energy-efficiency enhancements, total electricity consumption was reduced by 59.09%, significantly decreasing energy use, material waste, paper consumption, and post-show waste generation. These efforts underscore Transcend’s commitment to low-carbon exhibiting and responsible resource stewardship.

Integrating 3R Principles into Corporate Aesthetic

In its visual and spatial planning, Transcend incorporated its signature red-and-white brand identity within a clean, open-concept environment featuring intuitive visitor flow and integrated greenery. The design was carefully crafted to maximize product visibility, enhance visitor engagement, and facilitate meaningful business interactions. Beyond creating a transparent and welcoming exhibition space, the booth adopted modular, detachable, and reusable design elements that align with the 3R principles—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The award not only recognizes Transcend’s innovation and leadership in sustainable exhibition design, but also underscores the company’s long-term commitment to ESG principles and sustainable development.

Long-Term Commitment to Global ESG Goals

In response to the growing global focus on ESG and sustainable development, Transcend has long embedded quality management, environmental stewardship, and occupational health and safety principles into its business operations. Since 1997, the company has obtained internationally recognized certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, QC 080000, and ISO 45001, while continuously advancing energy-efficiency initiatives and developing low-power products to minimize the environmental impact of both its operations and product life cycles. At COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2026, Transcend was honored with both the ESG GO! Green Booth Recognition and the Sustainable Design Award – Gold Winner in the Rising Star Group. These achievements not only affirm the company’s commitment to sustainable exhibition practices but also demonstrate how sustainability can be successfully integrated into international exhibition planning and brand engagement. Looking ahead, Transcend will continue to place innovation, environmental responsibility, and corporate stewardship at the heart of its operations. Through ongoing investment in sustainable development initiatives, the company remains committed to creating long-term value for society while contributing to environmental protection and a more sustainable future.
