Why can’t my USB be detected after I leave it on Windows 10 laptop for a while?

Category : Specification / Capacity / Performance

This is due to the power-saving design of Windows 10 laptops.

Whenever an external USB device is left on a Windows 10 laptop for a period of time, the system will automatically disconnect it to save power.

Should you encounter such circumstances, simply eject and re-insert your USB flash drive and it will be recognized by the system again.
